A.C.TURISMO//:Una de las cantantes Liricas más importantes del Metal sinfónico en el MUNDO "LORI LEWIS", visito nuestra ciudad una vez más junto al Grupo THERION este sábado 17 de mayo para brindar un gran concierto para los Fans de este género musical. No es la primera vez que viene a La Paz, de acuerdo a su página web fue hace 10 años que llego junto a la Gira de THERION en ese entonces.

En conferencia de prensa que brindo en el hotel presidente el viernes por la tarde indico que esta es la última gira que realiza con THERION, después de ello dejara el grupo en busca de un estilo de vida más tranquilo, dando clases de música, dedicarse a su familia, sus hobbies. Su última actuación en vivo será en México el 31 de Mayo, en su gira por Latinoamérica, además  expreso que  seguirá apoyando en el próximo disco de su banda pero que no estará en sus presentaciones.

A continuación les presentamos un mensaje de Lori publicado en su página oficial de Facebook, donde habla de lo mucho que le gusto su última visita a BOLIVIA y ello sirvió de inspiración para un concurso que ella lleva adelante en esta gira por LATINOAMERICA:

Backdrop competition in Latin America

When we played in La Paz in 2004, some local fans had made a FANTASTIC stage decoration for us, in the shape of the Sirius B symbol in steel. We liked it so much that we had it shipped to Europe and used it there for a few shows on the tour (I think the picture in below is from Belgium). Now when Bolivia is on the tour schedule again (after 10 years of waiting), I was thinking about it and also thought about the great creativity people have shown over the years making nice flags and banners for us at the shows and/or when greeting us at the airport. 

So we thought we’d give that creativity a chance to shine in a bigger way - like it did in La Paz 2004. We want to offer our fans the possibility to make the backdrops for all of the show on the Latin American tour in May. So we will have a backdrop competition to see who will be the honorable ones bringing glory to your city/country.

The winners will get presented on FB and get to have their backdrops used when the band perform and also get to meet the band before the show and see the sound check. And (needless to say) of course are on the guest list for the concert. The ones that make the best backdrop on the tour will also win a secret prize after the tour + of course creating glory to the winning country/city.
The backdrops remain property of the winners after the concert.

The idea is to make backdrops, but if you prefer to make an artifact in the same way the guys did it with the Sirius B symbol in La Paz 2004, you’re free to do that as well (just keep in mind that can take much longer time than you think to manufacture).

You now have 3 days to think of an idea and make a sketch (hand drawing or computer generated) and email to us to show how the ideas you have look like. The motif can be anything, the only rule is that it must contain a large Therion logo. It can be local traditional motifs, total fiction or just a nice motif in general. Use your imagination! We allow two people to team up and make a contribution together. If you are more than two people in the making of a backdrop, there can only be two of you that are the official contributors/winners.

IMPORTANT! Make sure you actually have the possibility to make a backdrop (or artifact) in real life before you send your contribution sketch. It’s not enough to have a cool idea for a motif, you need to be able to physically manufacture it as well (and be ready in time for the concert day). The band will not contribute or help in any way in the making of it. If the person(s) behind a winning design can’t realize the backdrop in time, we’re gonna have to play without a backdrop that evening, which will mostly likely not bring much glory to your city in the eyes of fans. So if you’re not 100% sure you can transform your idea into a real thing, rather let someone else do it or share your idea with someone that can realize it.

Once we have a winner in each city, we will put you in contact with the promoter so that you can get the technical specs, the backdrop must have the right dimensions to fit for that venue and be made in the right way so that it can be hanged up properly.
